Great Suspense

I really liked the serial killer aspect of the story and how it kept you guessing until the end as to who he was. Cecile is a deputy in the Sheriff's office and has been searching for her friend Erica's body for the last 10 years. She feels responsible for her disappearance since she left her at a party. When a body is found in the county, the killer sets his sites on Cecile because she challenged him on national TV without realizing what she was doing. Sheriff Josh Avery is battling his own demons with the murder of his wife (in an earlier story) when he is accused of the crime. He and his department are working non-stop to bring this recent serial killer to justice with attempts on Cecile's life escalating he has to decide if she is worth the cost of loving again. The romance part of the story was okay, I just got tired of the back and forth with Josh and Cecile. I loved the suspense part. This is part of a series and I have not read the other books, several characters are mentioned from the other books.

Romantic Suspense

This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the 6st book in the Cowboy Lawmen series. I liked the characters, but they are not characters that jump off the pages. I liked the storyline, but I did not love the last little bit of this book. The beginning was so great, but the story did not keep me pulled into it. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
