Though a bit dated, this book offers a great look at Texas from the air, from the deserr of the west, the flat pains of the Panhandle, the prairies and lakes, the Hill Country, the Gulf Coast, the South and Rio Grande Valley. You’ll also see aerial shots of the state’s biggest cities (although I feel a better picture of downtown Dallas could have been used, and San Antonio could have been taken durimg the daytime) There’s a shot of the Cotton Bowl during the halftime of the big Texas-OU game, and the University of Texas campus in Austin. Although it’s a bit dated (published in 1986), it’s an excellent summary of my state.
