Maria Thompson, a young single mother, finds a mysterious box on her doorstep. It contains an AI Doll for her daughter, Lily. She's puzzled by the gift, as she doesn't know who it came from or why someone would send it. Nevertheless, Lily is thrilled with her new toy and spends hours playing with it. However, soon after the doll enters their home, strange things start happening. The doll begins to show erratic behavior that is not typical of an AI toy. As if that weren't enough, people in her town start turning up dead, victims of a brutal stabbing. The police are baffled and have no leads. Maria is terrified and starts to suspect that something sinister is going on in her town. She can't help but wonder if the doll has anything to do with it.
With the help of Sheriff James Carter and Officer Laura Bates, they begin to unravel the mystery behind the doll and the murders.
