In James Patterson's shockingly suspenseful #1 New York Times bestseller, one member of the Women's Murder Club is hiding a secret so dangerous that it could destroy them all. Detective Lindsay Boxer is jogging along a beautiful San Francisco street when a fiery explosion rips through the neighborhood. When Lindsay searches for survivors, she finds three people dead. A lost infant and a mysterious message at the scene leaves Lindsay and the San Francisco Police Department completely baffled. Then a prominent businessman is found murdered under bizarre circumstances, with another mysterious message left behind by the killer. Lindsay asks her friends Claire Washburn of the medical examiner's office, Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt, and Chronicle reporter Cindy Thomas to help her figure out who is committing these murders--and why they are intent on killing someone every three days. Even more terrifying, the killer has targeted a member of the Women's Murder Club. Which one will it be?
This book was wonderful. James Patterson never fails me. His books keep me on the edge of my seat all the time. Please keep 'em coming James. Thank you Sandy Klosowski

I did not care as much for the last book in this series, but this one is fabulous! This book relates to every American after 9/11 and the threats to our country since, not to mention being a fantastic expansion to the Lindsey Boxer series and great mystery/action/suspense read.
excellent book....a must read for the series

Having been a Patterson for some years now, I couldn't wait till this book came out. It was such a good book that I started it the night I got it and finished it by the next morning! It was one that I found hard to put down. I don't think I have yet read a Patterson book I haven't liked but I'm still making my way through his books. Definitely a must read. I hope he keeps up with this series. Like his Alex Cross series this an excellent series. Good strong lead characters with good supporting ones as well. The stories are excellent and not hard to follow.

After several of his most recent books, I had lost a little of my enthusiasm for Patterson. This book is a return to his brilliant story telling ability. Patterson very adebtly weaves togeather several seperate plot lines into one gripping page turner. The story follows a cop, a prosecuter, a medical examiner, and a reporter. Patterson does a wonderful job of leading the reader through the fascinating lives and careers of these four people. This is one of the most entertaining books I've read in long time.
