An Intriguing and Exciting Read!

I was very intrigued and excited to read the first book of an Elemental Series by Sofia Simpson. Vela, an earth elemental, wants to focus on graduating high school so she can then open her own flower shop. When she meets a new classmate, Linc, she is determined to avoid him at all costs since is a fire elemental, one of the earth elemental’s sworn enemies. Vela realizes that Linc is her Intended Bond, which means their lives are instinctively drawn together. Linc realizes this too, and pursues Vela. When they both discover that their bond might be one to fulfill a prophecy, Vela and Linc must keep their relationship a secret, as many people will stop at nothing to tear them apart. This story gave me all the feels! From the conflicting emotions Vela felt for Linc, to Linc’s mysterious appearance in Vela’s life, to the territory wars between the elementals, and Vela’s own journey to finding peace, forgiveness, and love-I was enthralled by everything and every moment in between. I absolutely loved the faith aspects and how the fantastical elements were interwoven with faith and biblical themes. I thoroughly enjoyed this first novel and cannot wait to read book 2.
