He takes his cue from the analyses of celebrated Hollywood film adaptations of the plays of Tennessee Williams. The book introduces the notions of intermedial dialogue and medial break, providing a feasible and flexible framework for the interpretation not only of Williams plays, but in a more general way for film adaptations across various media.
