An insightful read

This is a book that will allow you to glimpse the world of an emigree from Taiwan, her memories, her childhood. It is thought-provoking and sometimes amusing. While reading the book I could almost hear the author speak. She uses her words to provide us with an amazingly clear insight into her life and observations. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in other cultures and who enjoys haiku-style writings.
