Excellent -- Must Have!

This was my oldest son's favorite book, when he was in 3rd grade and didn't like to read much. Turned out he likes to read non-fiction. He read this 2 or 3 times from front to back. Now my 2nd son is entering 3rd grade and has begun reading it, and he loves it too. Each entry is brief and readable and to the point. Lots of illustrations. Each entry includes lots of varied information, including info not commonly known. This is about the best book on history for elementary age kids I have discovered. Younger kids might enjoy having this read to them, but I find that it's on about a 4th-5th grade reading level.
