Tell Me about God

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of humanity, God Himself here on earth. He came from God and lived here on earth to tell us about God's love for us. He came to bring us back to our divine loving Father and to remind us of the relationship we can have with Him. But Jesus also came to bring us a new way of living that moves us away from the values of this physical world and immerses us in His spiritual values of love, joy and peace. He called this type of life the 'kingdom of heaven' or the 'kingdom of God' and showed us how we can reestablish our bond with God and enjoy His endless blessings. Many people feel that Jesus came to earth to bring a new religion. But Jesus didn't come to bring a religion; He came to bring a relationship - a loving relationship between God and us - like a father has with His precious children. God wants to have a relationship with us - He is reaching out to us - but will we respond? The sad fact is that many of us are reluctant to accept God's offer to have a relationship - we feel we don't deserve it, we think we are not worthy because of all the mistakes we've made in our lives - our sins. God knows this, so He sent Jesus to save us from those sins. Jesus allowed himself to be crucified on a cross as a sacrifice - as a payment for our sins. And therefore we don't have to be punished for our sins; we just have to repent of them, and accept the free gift of eternal life that God is offering us.
