Telegar, a Kitchen servant in the Kingdom of Eilen, a palace centered in the land of Eylai, discovers a giant Green Phoenix deep beneath the palace in the darkest parts of the dungeons. just when he thinks his life can't get any more exciting, a wizard known as Uven Black launches an attack on the Palace, killing the Queen, kidnapping the royal Princess, and releasing the giant Green Phoenix. Telegar and his friend, Grigle, a creature known as a Thriggleywip, leave the Eilen in an attempt to help a friend, and get swept off on a journey that takes them to the Kingdom of Wolves deep in the fabled Starless Forest, home of the obsidian wolves of Dusk. They combine their skill with that of their new friends from the Starless Forest to try and stop Uven Black from destroying the world, but will it be enough?
