I'm a market analyst who has been tracking the OSS/BSS marketplace for a number of years, so I've seen my fair share of network management treatises. While this book is more than a decade old, it includes some wonderful insights and diagrams that have not been replicated in other sources. One of the authors remains a top level OSS architect at Verizon. In particular, I liked the map of network management functions -- and related OSS definitions -- in the first chapter.
