"Teddy's Button" tells the story of a little boy who wants to be a soldier like his father. Teddy's most prized possession, a button from his father's uniform, and the tale that goes with it, is all he has besides his sweet mother and stern grandmother. This is a reprint from the D.L. Moody Colportage library, and contains a classic story of courage, conflicting emotions, and personal growth. Read how Teddy gets into mischief, and what happens when he is introduced to the Captain of our souls. 128 pages. Paperback. Recommended for ages 8 to 12.
I read this book before I started reading to my son. I was so moved and blessed by it!! My son really likes it also. It puts a really sweet and simple approach to a child accepting Christ as there savior.
Pilgrim's Progress for the young

It's like Pilgrim's Progress for the young. This was the first Lamplighter book that we read and is one of our all time favorites. When someone is struggling with their "Ippsy" (sin nature) we read the book again for encouragement. 2 of our 8 children accepted the Lord just after reading this book.

Great Story--Fine Quality Book

If you are not familiar with Lamplighter Books, they are a breath of fresh air, right out of the past. Their books are hardbound, often with gold lettering on the cover. They look like a book out of an old fashioned "library" collection. With regard to this particular story, I can't praise it highly enough. For Christian parents trying to teach the fundamental truths of God's perspective you can't beat it. It's a story of salvation and the struggle between the flesh and the spirit, as seen through the eyes of a young boy.

Teddy's Buttons reminds us to be brave and stand for what is right. I was very encouraged when I read it to my children.
