What can ordinary people do in a messed up world? They can stand up and be counted. They can volunteer to do what they can where they could. Every little bit counts. This book follows an ordinary family from Canada to Africa to do what they can. They did much. It may not impact the world but their presence and help in this corner of the world in Africa definitely impacted for good many of the lives they touched. Tears will be real and they will be yours as you read this book. You will also sense a feeling of joy as you read of the triumphs experienced by and through this family committed to sharing God's love in a benighted part of the world. Yes, an ordinary person or family under the compelling influence of God in their lives can have a profound impact by following God's leading.
motivated to pray

I finished this book about a month ago, now I am on a mission to make prayer for foreign nations a regular activity. This book aroused in me a compassion for the hurting people, I mean really hurting people, in Africa.I can't even believe how different their culture and government is from ours. The book was very well written, it was concise without being dull. The author didn't express her emotions in the writing, just what she experienced; which was enough to conjure up emotions in me. I continually read this book for 3 days while everyone else around me was busy working. Now I am reading this book to my children.
