Despite his relentless efforts to rebuild his life through various business ventures, Mallam Sani faces repeated failures, leaving him financially drained. Ultimately, his fall from grace compels him to take up an unexpected and humbling livelihood-riding a keke (tricycle) to survive. Tears from Sahara vividly captures the agony of loss, the despair of shattered dreams, and the resilience of the human spirit. In Chapter 3, just before fleeing for his life, Mallam Sani utters the poignant words: "He who runs from war preserves his life to live again."
