Teaching Spanish as a foreign language in Senegal

This research aims to address the strategies implemented in the Senegalese educational system. It also highlights some perspectives on the teaching and learning of Spanish as a foreign language in Senegal, a country where, paradoxically, even though it has been colonized by France, a large number of students choose to learn Spanish. It can be concluded, therefore, that Spanish has a very promising future, but it is necessary to know how to innovate in the way of learning and teaching languages. Therefore, we start from the following questions: What are the abilities and skills that must be available in order to efficiently plan the management of a class or session? How can we attend to the students' difficulties and assess their learning? Finally, this book is based on the evaluation of initial tests whose analysis has shown us that there is still a long way to go since students experience difficulties in developing communicative skills, hence the imperative need for the teacher to continue developing strategies if he/she wants to conduct an innovative language class.
