The teaching-learning process has been undergoing changes over the years, one of the reasons being to seek adaptation to the generation of students in schools and universities. This adaptation has also been occurring in the curriculum of higher level courses, among them Dentistry. One way to register such changes is the analysis of the pedagogical project of courses (PPC). The objective was to verify the teaching procedures registered in the PPC of the Dentistry course of the Federal University of Esp rito Santo (UFES) and to compare them with the teaching procedures mentioned by the professors by means of an interview. It was observed in this research that there is little diversity in teaching procedures. It can be concluded that there is some difficulty on the part of the teachers interviewed to adopt new teaching procedures.
