Humans have long been interested in discovering the surrounding nature and its creatures, and human curiosity in knowing life led to the birth of the science of biology. Biology refers to the knowledge and study of all living organisms. This dynamic science deals with the origin of living things, their growth and development, and the interaction of living things with other living things and their surroundings. Throughout history, many scientists have dedicated their lives to better understanding the functioning of living organisms and how they relate to each other and the environment. Biology is the study of all living things, including this insect and the plant it sits on. As the name of biology suggests, biology deals with the study of living organisms or organisms that were once alive. The word biology is derived from two Greek words "bios" (meaning life) and "logos" (meaning study). In general, biologists study the structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, and distribution of living organisms.
