Good resource to teach newcomers and immigrants beyond survival English

I have been looking for good, practical, and applicable TESL/TEFL (Teaching English as a second or foreign language) books to help me as I segue into the world of teaching ESL to adults. I think this is a helpful resource, that combines what is necessary. If you want grammar (look elsewhere). This book's strength lies in its holistic approach, and understanding that each EL (English learner) learns English differently, at his or her own pace. Therefore, it appropriately includes a brief introduction to the challenges of teaching ESL.
