Teacher training and science teaching at secondary level

The discussion about the importance of teacher training has become a practice raised by theorists who deal with the importance of teaching work. In addition to ongoing training, this discussion also covers initial training, which can take place in higher education degree courses or at secondary level, in the normal course. The Col gio Estadual Humberto de Alencar Castelo Branco - Ensino M dio e Normal, in the municipality of Santa Helena, offers the Teacher Training Course for Early Childhood Education and the Early Years of Primary Education at secondary level, in the Normal mode, with the aim of preparing teachers for Early Childhood Education and Early Years. With regard to the training of these teachers, the question arises as to whether these students are prepared to work in the Early Years, especially in the subject of Science. With this in mind, we propose this investigation, seeking to clarify which training sessions are available throughout the course, which methods are used in these sessions with the students and how they enable the training of students/teachers in training for teaching science.
