You might have the desire and drive to run a marathon but not the knowledge. Where do you begin? How do you train? Where do you sign up? These are the questions that more often than not prevent... This description may be from another edition of this product.
As someone who is just starting to run again, with the hopes of entering my first marathon, I found this to be the best book. Even though it speaks of the London marathon you can substitute it for other running events. I loved the story from the journalist as she walks you through her progress to prepare for the London Marathon, from the beginning of her training all the way up to the day of the marathon. Check out their website realbuzz. It is free and full of great information. I have read many of the Runners World books but this is my favorite thus far. I initially took this out from my local library and enjoyed it so much that I purchased it. Enjoy;)
not the best, not the most detailed but useful

this may not be the most detailed book but it gets to the point and will help you especially if you don't have a background in cardio training. I used have an incorrect breathing technique for running but after reading a tip from this book it made my training a lot less painful and more effective. This is definitely a book for someone that wants to run long distances but does not know how to. Again this book will help despite the boring presentation of the book itself
