A perfect blend of poetry and self-contemplation

I LOVE the concept and execution of this book! I decided to buy it after a teacher in a class I am taking kept quoting different poems or thoughts from it. The poetry is thought-provoking. It's not preachy but does push you to really think things over. It can have its fun moments as well, because who said learning about yourself can't be fun? I'm an avid "poetry collector" as it were, and I really do enjoy the style she has. Is it very classic? No. And it doesn't need to be. After each poem there is a page with questions and some prompts for you to dwell on. I like to journal. I'm not even halfway through the book yet because I am taking in a poem at a time and then writing out my answers and thoughts following it and its inquiries. This is a great book for anyone who feels stuck in life and hasn't chased a dream or done what they wish they had. It's great for getting you out of a rut and inspire (and maybe nudge you hard) you to get moving on the life you really want and provide you with the steps on how to begin.
