Just not perfect for me

I have been a cardmaker for a long time and thought I would expand my craft with TeaBag folding. Looked on the internet and watched how to do it over and over and got the hang of most of the folds. Thought this book would be handy for when I'm working on a project. Well, it's not the easiest book to follow in my opinion. I'm still trying to follow the directions, but haven't fully got it yet. The projects in the book are not really my cup of tea (no pun intended) so I will search for another to add to my craft library. If you already can fold, this is for you....

Tea Bag Foldiing

I have done tea bag folding for several years and enjoy the craft. I have taught classes in this art, and will be teaching another class soon. I know my students will enjoy the samples and instructions contained in this book, and will get excited about learning the craft. Tea bag folding makes a beautiful product to be mounted on a card for that special friend. I highly recommend this book.

Teabag folding aid/ideas

Janet Wilson's Tea Bag folding book is great for beginners as well as us "old pros"! Some terrific ideas to "run with", change to your artistic eye and projects that will charm recipients. A good buy.

Full of Creativity and Inspiration

This book is quite charming if you like working small. This book contains instructions on how to make dozens of projects using small squares of paper. Most of the projects require the folding of either 4cm or 5cm squares which is about the size of a tea bag, hence the name. You can't truly appreciate how lovely these designs are until you make them for yourself. When I first looked at this book I was enthralled with the papers they used. After a brief search on the internet I found kcardinal.freeserve.co.uk/index.htm which has tiles of all of the papers used in this book. I simply copied the images to my desktop and had instant printable squares ready for use (after I cut them out of course.) A search for tea bag folding tiles turned up pages of free, downloadable, printable images for use in tea bag folding. The only downside to this book that I have found is that the instructions could be a bit more detailed. I love origami and have some experience in this area so I was able to figure out where the author was going by looking at the images of what it is supposed to look like and fanagling my way a bit until I got it right. If you don't mind a bit of a challenge the rewards are quite satisfying. If you are new to origami do not be intimidated. I encourage you to make use of the techniques and soon you will be folding like a pro.If you like origami and the intrigue of folding little squares that interlock or glue into a finished design you will enjoy this book. It is great to get the juices flowing and might even spark some ideas of your own!
