This book stands out among one of the best Italian cookbooks I've seen. It is not only a cookbook, but a coffee table book filled with very creative and beautiful photography of the dishes made by Chef Frederic Lebain. Some of the finished dishes are sitting as you would see at a table, but instead, are sitting on some mossy rocks with beautiful tree branches nearby. The colors and arrangements of both the food and it's surroundings have been carefully orchestrated into artwork in itself. This book is loaded with delicious recipes, and the nice thing about it is that most of those recipes are not too dificult or time-consuming, but absolutely delicious. Also, most of the ingredients are fairly easy to locate on your grocery shopping trip. It's not just a book about cooking, but about Italian culture--could go well on your coffee table for guests to browse through and choose what they like. The book is HUGE in size!. That is what makes the huge colorful photos hard to resist. It's a great book.
