the BEST tarot romance book on market

I LOVE this book! The interpretations have been right on and there is a ton of relevant information about each card, as well as a very informative introductory section about tarot. What makes this book stand out, though, is that its comprehensive card interpretations are not just rehashed material of what is already out there. If a book is simply going to edit the traditional interpretations to make them apply to romance, it doesn't provide much useful new information. I have another book that does this (I'll add the title/author later when I have it in hand) and it has been a complete waste of money. Tarot D'Amour is MUCH MUCH better than that because while the meanings are consistent with other sources, the material presented is both original and accurate. I highly recommend it for people wanting to do in depth romance readings!

Great Book For Compatibility Study

I just purchased this book last night and found the Chakra Compatibility Spread to be right on the money. Although some experts advise against it, I happen to read for myself and find it's an excellent way to tell how accurate my interpretations are. I did two compatibility spreads using myself and two separate people and found the accuracy between one who I am not compatible with and one with whom I am to be exactly correct. The card descriptions answered some questions I had as to why certain cards continued to appear in recent spreads when inquiring about one person in particular. It was like a light bulb going on. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to know about someone in particular, that person's emotions and a relationship potential.

Romantic, emotional, and sexual interpretations

Written by a husband and wife team (Victory Daniels is a professor of psychology skilled at using Tarot to gain insight, while Kooch N. Daniels has read Tarot cards professionally for twenty-five years) Tarot D'Amour: Find Love, Sex, And Romance In The Cards is a unique and thoroughly "reader friendly" instructional tarot manual that expressly studies love, sex, and romance through the art of tarot card divination. Offering romantic interpretations, emotional interpretations, sexual interpretations, sexual play, and more, corresponding to each of the major and minor cards of the standard tarot deck, Tarot D'Amour is a "must-read" acquisition to round out the reference shelf of any dedicated tarot card enthusiast and student of Metaphysical Studies.

Not Just For Love Junkies!

Tarot D'Amour is a wonderful addition to the literature on Tarot. It is written by a husband and wife team who bring a unique blend of training, skill, and experience to their work. According to the book's cover, Kooch Daniels has deep roots in the Tarot, having worked as a professional card reader, Tantra practitioner, and metaphysical scholar for over 25 years. Her husband, Victor Daniels, is a psychologist and university professor. As a result of this collaboration, we get a very deep, wise, non-dogmatic work that is firmly rooted in the best insights of clinical psychology and the most profound visions of esoteric research and practice. The fact that these two streams of thought flow together so seamlessly in this collaboration, seemingly from a single voice, is a testament to the efficacy and power of the relational approach they describe. I especially like the authors' permissive, flexible, non-dogmatic approach throughout. They offer guidelines rather than rules. For example, they say, "But beware of getting locked in too tightly to the cards' usual symbolic meanings... The more you're willing to use your own interpretations and intuition instead of relying on a book for the meaning of the symbols, the more skilled you'll become."The book's title and subtitle ("Find Love, Sex, and Romance in The Cards") might give the misleading impression of either flippancy or a very narrow focus. Nothing could be further from the truth. Instead, I found this book to be a very solid piece of work. At times, the tone is playful in relation to love, sex, and romance, which makes it a lively read, yet the overall treatment is grounded and earnest.I think this book will appeal not only to individuals and couples looking to enrich romantic and sexual relationships but also to a much wider audience interested in using the Tarot for self-exploration and personal development. The book has much to offer for beginner and Tarot adept, alike. I, myself, for example, have used the Tarot for over 30 years as a teaching tool in a variety of college-level courses but not for the purpose of giving readings. Now, I find myself drawn in that direction and, surprisingly, there is plenty of concrete guidance in the Daniels' book on that topic. In fact, the first section of the book is titled, "The Art of Reading" and the fourth chapter is called, "Guidelines for Readings." Not only do they cover the sorts of attitudes and skills one must cultivate but they also show several "spreads," including a basic three-card spread, the Celtic Cross, the Chakra spread, and a double Chakra spread especially for couples.I will be using Tarot D'Amour as a reference book. It has a number of very useful tables and summaries, covering such things as the significance of lower and higher arcana, correspondence of higher arcana cards to the Jungian archetypes, numerological and asterological correlations, correspondences between the four suits and the elements, and so on.
