An incredible and accurate depiction of the truth!

Fred Parkins is a great writer, this book was a warning to the american public of what can happen with Chem Bio Attacks. Do not take this book lightly!

Very timely and precise

The book was published less than a year before Sept 11 2001, but eerily foretold a terrorist incident of epic proportions involving chemical AND biological agents of death. I hope the Olympic Security Department read this so they will be adequately prepared.

Terrorism at its worst

Although fiction, this book was an education in chemical and biological terrorism. I thought it had some good information on the characteristics of chemical warfare materials, effects on the body, and defense procedures. The plot was pretty good and fast moving (almost too fast at times). Unlike a lot of books, this one kept my attention.

Great Depiction of Chem/Bio Terrorism

The book boldly explores the freightening world of chemical and biological terrorism. It is action packed, beginning with the raid on the Army chemical weapons depot to the attack at the Olympics to the National Guard response. There is a fascinating subplot occuring in Bosnia that also ties in with the incident. The characters are well-chosen with specialized skills that neatly round out the book. It definitely made me a believer that the threat is real.

Great details on chemical terrorism!

Exciting plot, great details on chemical and biological terrorism, and outstanding description of nerve gas effects on the body. The story kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, with an occassional spurt of sheer terror. The plot kept moving and never slowed down for even a minute. I was pleased to learn how the National Guard has elite units to respond to this type of incident. I particularly liked how the book tied in with events in the Balkans, including the discovery of the biological laboratory in Bosnia. The book also makes the military and local emergency responders look good. Recommended reading for anyone interested in learning about the realities of chemical and biological terrorism.
