I love this 2nd book in the Lake City Heroes series!

I love this 2nd book in the Lake City Heroes series! It does have a little bit of split-time going on in this story, which I was not expecting... but thankfully, not a lot of the historical part, and both stories are good. I like both of the main characters, Kenzie and Cole, and the split-time part is about their ancestors. You will recognize some of the characters from the first book, if you have read it! If you like romantic suspense, I think you will enjoy this book! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance e-copy of this book! All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Explosive

Kenzie King's dream come true, she's on the SWAT team, the only female member. Cole Garrison the SWAT team leader is attracted to her but trying to keep a professional distance. When someone targets her and attempts are made on her life he goes into protective mode. A very high paced, adrenaline rush, action packed, suspenseful story. Full of family drama, faith, humor, friendships and a team that pulls together and supports each other.

Target Acquired is the second book in the Lake City Heroes series, and this book features SWAT team medic Kenzie King and Detective Cole Garrison as the main characters. It's a great suspense read packed with tons of action, clean humor, and a plot that kept me on the edge of my seat to the last page. There were only a couple minor words used that I don't use but don't consider to be a big deal (heck and dang used twice each). The romance was sweet, clean, realistic and spice free which I seriously appreciate! I really liked how it was paced too, slow burn and sincere instead of the cringy insta-love a lot of books feature but I don't personally care for. Y'all, this was a read I loved, and I absolutely recommend! I plan to pick up a paperback copy for my suspense shelf as soon as I can.
