"The apples are gone. The apples are gone." The villagers of Tapuchim cried as they ran out to the orchard. Sure enough, all the apples were gone except for a trail of half eaten apples leading over the wall to the village of Dvash. "It was them. They took our apples." Shlomo siad. "What should we do?" "I say an eye for an eye. Let's steal all their flowers and bees." Then a small voice came through the crowd. "I have an idea..."

This is the story of two villages, Tapuchim and Dvash, separated not only by a low stone wall, but by their differences. This poignant story demonstrates that together through cooperation, communication and sharing, we can create a happier world.

Penny Cohen, author and Beanie Polsky, illustrator are a daughter/ mother duo from Montreal, Canada living in Califonia. Both have extensive theatrical and musical backgrounds, entertaining children and adults. Additionally Penny, a speech language pathologist, co-produced and wrote the songs for the educational DVD series Tot-a-doodle-do! and Hop N Bop children's CD.
