Ladies, don't let this one pass you by

If you're like me, you're continually on the hunt for a good women's devotional, one with an easy to read format, easily digestible, keeps your attention and is relevant to your life. With Tapestry of Life, Book 2, you will find all these qualities wrapped up in this one book. Cole does an excellent job of covering subjects that include women from all walks of life, unlike some devotionals that tend to focus on issues for the wife and mother. We read about problems all women experience from loneliness to weight control. You can just start at the beginning and do each devotional daily, or, if you peruse the table of contents, you can even jump around to find a specific area in which you may need encouragement. The book is divided into 9 sections covering everything from friendships, romance, in-law relationships, men, careers, empty nest syndrome and retirement. Struggling with illness is even addressed. The author shares her own personal experiences with each subject covered, gives a meditation verse (s)to focus on Christ, and then some action steps to help us in a practical way. There is a wise words section at the end quoting some famous and notable women. Most of the devotionals end in a prayer asking God for specific help or direction. After 14 years of having a quiet time with God, this is the first time I can hardly wait to see what message God has for me through Tapestry of Life, Book 2.
