In 2008, I had the pleasure of living in Argentina as an exchange student for seven months. During that time, I discovered and fell head-over-heels in love with Argentine tango--the dance, the music, the experience of the intimate embrace and the warmth of the tango community.'TANGO: 25 Poetic Impressions of Argentine Tango' is a collection of linguistic snapshots of my experiences, portraying varied aspects of tango culture, such as the process of learning to dance tango, iconic musical instruments and genres of tango, and tributes to famous tango musicians and singers.
