I slid the door open further to step out and heard what sounded like a loud thunder that shook the whole building along with the shredding of wood. I had no Idea as to what was going on out side this temporary safe haven that I made for myself. So I turned back to go in, to hide from what I thought may be a robbery about to go bad. Everything seemed to move in slow motion for me after that. I can hear shouting but I can't make out what's being said. I huddled down behind the clothes and remained quiet. I could feel all of the commotion from the vibration of the floor. I made up my mind that I would remain here until this all blew over. Suddenly, the door flew open and made a loud thud that caused me to jump. Two minutes later, I felt a hard object poking me and the clothes surrounding the area where I crouched. Come out of there, NOW I heard a voice yell. I crawled out slowly on my hands and knees. I was told to lie down on the floor and put my hands behind my head and interlock my fingers. Cross your ankles over one another and lay still I must have been moving to slow. MOVE NOW I then rushed to do as he ask. While I lay on the floor, I could see bodies laying on the floor through out the apartment. I noticed big guns in their hands that were drawn on us and the officers had on full riot gear. This seemed unreal to me, it's as if I'm in a bad movie or a horribly written skit. Everyone who spoke were shouting, I could hear the shouting echoing out in the courtyard as well. The officers began to go through pockets of people laying in the living room. I could feel the anxiety rising inside of me and I could also feel myself sobering up, I thought to myself, they done blew my damn high.
