It's not unusual to see monsters in the town where Dean lives. Monsters are everywhere, but not the scary kind. Most of the time, monsters are just like you and me. Hard-working, friendly folk that want to get along with one another. Dean's family are no exception. His Mummy and Daddy want Dean and his brothers to do well at school and have fun as much as they can.

Unfortunately, this isn't always easy, and no family is perfect, monster, human or otherwise. Dean doesn't like the loud noises coming from inside his house after he's gone to bed. It sounds like home, what should be the safest place of all, has its scary side.

Dean's little brother is too young to understand what is happening all the time, and his big brother has learned to ignore it. But Dean worries about what is happening, and what the loud, scary noises might mean for his family.
