My Viking Brain is at it again! My emotions have gone 'Viking'. Mom says to stop playing my video game. Viking Warrior Brain says "attack".
I get grounded. Oh well. At least I have my favorite cookie for a snack. Until my sister eats it. I scream at her. She screams at me. Mom screams at both of us. It is full Viking. We end up in tears. It feels awkward watching my mom cry, but I'm angry. Why do I get in trouble over and over again? I want to be good. But once I'm angry it's like my brain gets hijacked. Want to know a secret? Did she get in an accident? I haven't seen my cat. Is my cat okay? Did he die? All these thoughts make me worry. My stomach and head hurt. My Viking brain is at it again. It is over protecting me. The amygdala warns me of danger that might not ever happen. Being a Viking isn't bad. In fact, it is amazing. I am compassionate, adventurous, passionate and extra creative. I think out of the box.
