A story to captivate your heart, history memory & curiosity

Tamar the Tender Twig by Doris CharriereThis book first caught my attention from the lovely picture on the cover in a bookstore in Portland, Oregon. The harp that the woman is carrying is a beautiful Lyre that was made like the ones in the days of David of Israel.Those of us who play harps are always looking for the links with harps of King David and the Celts that settled in Ireland and Scotland.Not only was this an engaging story line that is based on the history of those countries, but one that has some documentation to follow up on. A joy to read when there's no X rated garbage in it. I personally love to read fiction based on Historical events of the time. It brings the almost factual into a personal, visual, feelings of that age into my own mind.I personally recommend this lovely book to be read by all ages.Irene Tukuafu Ashland, Oregon
