I am a 25 year old playwright. I just read this book and I regret I hadn't read it when I was in grade school. It was very realstic and Mary Downing Hahn is an amazing author who blends suspense with a bit of horror ( somtimes) and adds a whole twist of reality. I liked this book because it was a 12yr old my age,she has just about any problems an average middle schooler has.But her mom couldn't afford to take care of her.Tallahassee was an outgoing, understanding character and she supported friends and family.Now thats why I like this book!
