A classic collection of ghost stories from such masters as Poe, Le Fanu, Stoker and major writers not usually associated with the horror genre--Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling and Robert Louis Stevenson. Culled from celebrated hardcover anthologies. A valuable collection...may well serve as a standard anthology of supernatural tales.
These are true ghost stories (forget S.K.). The Upper Berth by F. Marion Crawfors is a masterpiece! Creepy! I've read it three times now. The Voice in the Night by William Hope Hodgson is also great. It's about a man and woman who get shipwrecked and find an old ship adrift, covered with mold. These two stories alone make it worth the purchase.
