As we open the pages of this first tome in the, "Tales of Eldel rne," trilogy, we find through a twist of fate an elven mother, Thendiel Aran'eliad, is forced to leave her young sons, Roevash and Eijlam, setting off a chain of events that would tear their lives apart. In the mortal realm, a cult of greed-driven men rises out of the ashes of an old war and with yet another twist of fate's hand a fallen mad god is reborn among dragons.

Driven by a thirst for truth and a desire to find inner peace, the brothers search for survivors of elven migration that took everyone including their own mother. Roevash and Eijlam, soon find themselves flailing into the depths of a rabbit hole pushed by their friend, Fionna. They land upon evidence of a curse and massive kinslaying that unearths Naalin; believed the last of her clan. Desperate and in need of healing they try to bring Naalin to a wizard only to be diverted into the hands of an ancient and powerful seer-king in the depths of the Autumwood forest.

Bon's masterful storytelling takes the reader from a lovely fairytale and plunges them into the heart of darkness, where the line between reality and nightmare blurs. Rumors of dragons and villagers going missing began to surface. Because time is the enemy's gain, Roevash and Naalin volunteer to scout a ancient abandoned goblin kingdom found in the depths of a mountain. Together they unveil a front-row view of terrifying forces at play.
