In 2014 I experienced a spiritual awakening which resulted in a change of direction, away from the corporate world to a life making music and writing. Tales from the valley is a collection of poems inspired by my own personal journey and the area I live in, the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire. A journey towards creating a life that questions convention, that resonates with who we truly are at our core and tries to return to the basics of just being ok with wherever you are now. Walking and the outdoors has been my meditation and inspiration over the last ten years and in writing this collection I have tried to capture the essence of those walks, the insights they triggered and the questions we are all left with after reflection.
