Tales from Hockley Woods started life as bedtime stories for very young children and slowly the characters took on a life of their own. The children are now grown up but have never forgotten "The Demented Squirrel" and "The Superstitious Magpie." For the first time, the author has written about these old friends and also about the animals she has loved over the years who enjoyed their very own adventures.
