The story did not have a happy ending with Julia and her husband John Wright divorcing. Her daughter Eldora died shortly after gaining her freedom and George was kept by his father. Julia disappeared from the history books. This book picks up the trail of Julia and tells about short her life from beginning to end. The mystery of Julia Wright has been solved all these years later.
