Taken by the Taliban

In 2021, just as the US and coalition forces are about to pull out of Afghanistan, a TV journalist goes in to cover the story. Nobody expected the Taliban forces to overrun the entire country in a matter of weeks. She is trapped and becomes a participant in the story rather than a passive onlooker.

This is my first story to be in a fixed historical setting that can be dated. The others are all written as relatively timeless pieces and could take place over any of a number of years, and so should not date to quickly. Being based on actual events this is a bit of a departure for me, but I trust that you will enjoy it!
