A nice quick read

Some of the stories about fishing and hunting were a little folksy for me, but the behind-the-scenes tales from the Olympics and other competitions were great. It reads a little like late-night emails from a tipsy friend, but it's an enjoyable look into the life of a horse person.

Anyone who loves horses, or to hunt, or to fish should love these stories. Told with humor and at times heart wrenching, they are a fun read.

Superbly Entertaining!

Mr. Wofford writes with a no-nonsense style, describing his (mis)adventures as a fisherman, hunter and horseman. This book is quite entertaining, and gives the reader a glimpse of Jim Wofford the man, which is something one might not get by reading his excellent instructional books. I highly recommend it; you will laugh out loud.

Very funny!

I loved this book. Very funny, very fun read, even if you're not a horse person. First half is filled with non-horse related writings (fishing and hunting mainly), which I thought would be a bit boring, but I actually really enjoyed. Second part has to do with horses, including some interesting behind-the-scenes looks at the Olympics and WEG. Great book!

Jimmy Wofford is hilarious!!

This book is not like most of Jimmy Wofford's teaching books. This book is a birds eye view on his life. He takes you to many Olympic venues and lets you know what really happens behind-the-scenes. This book will make you laugh and cry. He lets you in on the special partnerships he shared with the great horses and great Labs. You will not put it down once you start reading it. I read it in one sitting. Fabulous.
