Hi! I am in the third grade, I read this book for an historical fiction report I had to do. I borrowed it from the library. After I finished reading it, Lucinda came to our library and talked about her books and showed us how to make a paper crane. I bought both books and Lucinda signed them and put in a really cool stamp too! You should read these books beacause the are fun to read! I got an A+ on my report!

This book is a very good book, It's amasing how the author pieces the true and imaginary things together.this book really describes the sea and all the beautiful things that are in it. it really taught me what life on a ship was like. in the book it talks a hole lot about the ship the SINDIA. I like this book very much

This isnt exactly a review. But Lucinda Hathaway is agreat author! I am 11 and go to Phillippi Shores Elemetary school. She came to my school today, and talked about how she got the idea for the book. She also talked about her daughter who is a lawyer. She said her daughter is a "Question Box." She also told about how she read all the books in the library when she was in elementary school, and how she bugged her teacher for more books. So her teacher brought all of her daughter's books in. Cinda (Lucinda) also read all of those books. I am glad she developed her love for books when she was younger because she is a great author. Also I thought the book was great!I also think all children should read this book. If I have to pick my favorite book I've ever read it would have to be Takashi's Voyage. Well, thanks cinda for writing the book. goodbye.
MUST READ IT!

I read this book to the kids I was babysitting and they were fasinated by the sinking of the Sindia. I was even sitting down with my mouth hanging open while they were asleep. I just had to read the rest! I thought that it was even better than some of the Titanic books I read! If you are looking for an exciting quick-read,then this is the book for you!!! Before I end this review I am just going to say that Lucinda Hathaway is is a talented lady and she should write a sequal to this book.
One of the best books I ever read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
