This is a really good, informative book. Mary Ellen Flury was very detail-oriented, and she really did a great job on this book. Highly recommended!
Top notch instruction

This reference work is such a tremendous asset that I'm very sorry I didn't buy it at the sewing expo 9 years ago. It contains facts and details about tailoring that one would normally not come across with everyday sewing. 'Tailoring Ladies' Jackets' is a *must* buy.
Well worth the money...

I bought this book a couple of months ago and i just love it. This book gives you step by step in structions, including suggestions for different interfacings to use and suiting fabrics to use. I would rcommend this book to a sewer with moderate sewing skills as a great starter book for tailoring. Also i would purchase another tailoring book to go along with this one titled "Classic tailoring techniques"( for men or women) by roberto cabrera this book will give you in depth information on common fitting problems and how to remedy them when tailoring a garmet. All and all I would definitely recommend this easy to read and understand book to anyone who wants to boost the sewing skills to a new level..
