Another season of the television show Creature Hunt is about to begin, and host Zach Larson is getting ready to start filming. After the producers decline to do an extra episode focused on the small town of Tahoma Valley, Zach becomes determined to gather his own footage. When Zach and his girlfriend, Autumn Hunter, decide to take a few days to return to Tahoma Valley for a hands-off investigation of Bigfoot sightings, they learn that there is another cryptid in the area.

Stories they hear lead them in the direction of dogman sightings, a creature they have encountered before. Another team of Bigfoot hunters is in the area, having tested hair and skin samples from the creatures in Tahoma Valley. They try to lead Zach and Autumn astray while stealing evidence from a secret room that a few town residents have been hiding for years. When Zach attempts to have physical contact with at least one of the creatures, he and Autumn come closer than ever to getting the evidence they need to prove Bigfoot's existence to the world.
