It's easy to plan your nutrition for (pre, peri, post) competition/training when you know what time it is going to occur (which is usually down to the hour or even minute) but how about being ready at a moment's notice. As first responders or special operators, it's hardly ever an option to plan meals in preparation of a high-stress encounter. Many of which surpass the physical or mental stress of any sporting event.
