Atheist, Frank Bonetti, sets out to disprove the afterlife and religious belief. His scientist girlfriend, Sarah, creates the 'Death Experiment' and Frank becomes her first guinea pig. He dies for an hour before being resurrected again. Their plan backfires and they unintentionally open a portal between earth and the astral dimension. This causes evil and darkness to pour onto earth and demons to haunt him. Only Frank and his former arch nemesis, psychic Meredith Palin, can stop it. Frank must die again.
