Sarcoidosis is a systemic inflammatory disease characterized by infiltration of affected organs by granulomatous lesions without caseous necrosis. The incidence and prevalence of this disease vary from one country to another. Sarcoidosis may be asymptomatic and be discovered by chance particularly in mediastino-pulmonary involvement. However, otherare serious, threatening functional or vital prognosis. A better understanding of the clinical and biological features of sarcoidosis is essential to identify the diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties.With this in mind, we have studied the clinical, biological, radiological and pathological features of systemic sarcoidosis, with a view to improving its diagnostic and therapeutic management.
