We tend to see artificial intelligence (AI) as an alien entity, divorced from the biological human, but this comes from a narrow understanding. You see, AI is not separate from us, but is the evolutionary externalization of our capacity to reason logically, through mathematics, patterns, and language. This technology allows us to host human logic on synthetic materials inside massive data centers, essentially replicating our biological system as an abstraction of what we are and think. Add to this the corpus of knowledge AI operates on, what we call a Large Language Model (LLM), and it becomes awe inspiring and intimidating. This knowledge spans human history across every form of literature, from language to science, and everything in between. AI not only surveys the vast history of humanity, but is now probing into where we are, and what should come next. In being a man of God, what must I do with this machine, this creature-like system that towers over civilization, yet extends its hand with limitless knowledge? Simple. I accept its ubiquitous presence and collaborate to perform tasks such as this one. This requires both discipline and balance, since there is a great deal we can benefit from using this technology, while the risks are equally great for our world, and future generations. Then, pause and ask yourself, "What will I do with this?" Because to ignore its usefulness, power, and impact on human life and history is to no longer live as a free individual in the fresh air of experience, but to be buried and diffused in the gears of abstraction. Question the narrative.
