The development of new, clean, and efficient methods for synthesizing complex heterocyclic systems is currently a major area of research in organic chemistry and also one of the research focuses of our laboratory. For our part, we have attempted the synthesis of several chromene derivatives, which are highly interesting molecules due to the numerous biological properties attributed to them, using unconventional and environmentally friendly methods such as microwave and ultrasound activation. This new methodology is particularly targeted, as it minimizes, among other things, the production of undesirable byproducts while maximizing synthetic efficiency and the structural diversity of the products obtained. Indeed, the preliminary results obtained for the various reactions undertaken have proven promising.
