I found Symphony of Creation to be a surprisingly enjoyable and easy read. To start with, Dr. Stoller is an unusual guy, with accomplishments in medicine, music, and theology. He weaves these together in an interesting presentation of one view, well supported, of how science and Biblical creation accounts can be compatible. Most importantly, to me, is that he does it without the usual ego trip of other authors in this field, bashing all others who hold differing opinions. He uses the analogy of a symphony, with God as the conductor (and composer) of all of the elements in the universe combining in a wonderful harmony.
Showing why science and the Bible are in harmony

The Symphony of Creation is the best book I have read in the science and faith area. Unlike some other books I've seen, this one takes a postive approach. It respects both science and the Bible, and it's a joy to read.First of all, the author is highly qualified (a scientist, surgeon and theologian). He gets his facts right in both the scientific and biblical areas. He shows how God and creation are compatible with scientific findings, without in any way denying scientific truth. And he presents things in a highly enjoyable and accessible fashion, using the metaphor of God as Conductor and Creator of the Universe. The book is also well illustrated and contains many stimulating discussion questions. I expect this book to become a classic.
